A New Dawn for Energy: UK's Coal Phase-Out and ENPOSS's Efficiency Solutions
A culmination of sustained efforts to keep promises made under the Paris Climate Agreement. The U.K. closes its last coal-based power station. Ratcliffe-on-Soar power station, 140 years old, entirely depends on coal for electricity production. The first major global economy to fully phase out coal- the UK fulfills a key environmental pledge to combat climate change and achieve net-zero emissions by 2050.
In operation since 1967, Ratcliffe-on-Soar was a key part of the country's supply. "It's an emotional day," said plant manager Peter O'Grady, reflecting on how coal once seemed indispensable.
Coal is the dirtiest fossil fuel. It generates huge amounts of carbon dioxide and also emits other lethal substances, including mercury and arsenic. Thirteen countries have already banned coal, and Britain is the first G7 country to do so. Energy minister Michael Shanks described the shutdown as the end of one era and the start of a bright new age of green energy jobs.
The world is upgrading to different ways to produce electricity. And it is our responsibility to save that electricity. We need to upgrade ourselves to save power in different ways. FORCE is the solution to save electricity. The proven record and customer testimonies shows that FORCE by ENPOSS can save electricity upto 15%.
