Korea Maritime and Fisheries Training Institute (Director Kim Min-Jong) announced on the 24th that it signed a business agreement with ENPOSS (CEO Choi Seong-Kwon) to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and verify the performance of domestically produced innovative products.

According to this agreement, both parties agreed to cooperate in achieving greenhouse gas emissions reduction through power saving, product verification, and performance improvement using the training ship as a test bed.

In particular, they plan to install a power-saving device (FORCE) on the training ship Hannarae of the Korea Maritime and Fisheries Training Institute and demonstrate power savings by reducing electrical loss and resistance by improving electrical conductivity and power transmission efficiency using the characteristics of tourmaline powder.

Through this demonstration, it is expected that the Hannarae, which uses a diesel generator, will be able to reduce fuel consumption and greenhouse gas emissions by installing a power-saving device.

President Kim Min-Jong of the Korea Maritime and Fisheries Training Institute said, “Through this business agreement, we will continue to collaborate to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from training ships and serve as a bridgehead for strengthening the international competitiveness of excellent domestically produced innovative products.”
