Energy Efficiency Day(the first Wednesday in October- 5th of October, 2022) was a joint and collaborative effort of many Energy Efficiency advocacy groups all around the USA. Energy Efficiency Day was first inaugurated in 2016 and since then it has been supported by hundreds of prominent organizations, companies, Government and non-government Agencies, and many other groups in the annual awareness programs and events to promote energy efficiency.

The Energy Efficiency Day's message is simple: "Save Money. Cut Pollution. Create Jobs". The goal is to bring awareness, give tips, and tell stories to encourage and promote the importance and the multiple benefits of Energy Efficiency, from lower cost to healthier homes.

These are some tips for saving energy to celebrate Energy Efficiency Day:

  1. Utilization of Natural Air and Lights: Using ventilated airflow windows instead of ACs when the temperature is cool. Allowing natural sunlight to come in and switching off lights. These activities are instrumental in cutting back on your energy bill, in addition, exposure to sunlight and fresh air can improve mood as well.

  2. Switching to LED lights: LED light bulbs use up to 90% less energy than incandescent lighting. LEDs cost about five times less than incandescent bulbs as they run 25 to 35 times more than incandescent bulbs.

  3. Investing in improving the insulation of homes: Insulating, or sealing air leaks around your home, is a great way to reduce your heating and cooling expenses. Insulation plays a key role in lowering utility bills by retaining heat during the winter and keeping heat out of the home during the summer.

  4. Turning the heat down: Washing clothes is also an energy-intensive chore, especially if warm water is used. The majority of energy used during the clothes washing process goes towards heating water. There are many possible economic benefits to using cold water - consumers are potentially able to save more than $50 a year by reducing the temperature of the water used to wash clothes by 15 degrees and this action can also increase the lifespan of clothes.

  5. Usage of Energy-Efficient Appliances: Appliances are responsible for roughly 13% of total household energy use. While energy-efficient appliances might have higher upfront purchase prices, their operating costs are often 9-25% lower than conventional models.

  6. Timely Maintenance of Appliances: Keeping appliances in order and timely maintenance increases the lifespan and productivity of appliances and also increases the energy efficiency of appliances.

  7. Spreading Awareness: Spreading awareness and encouraging the benefits of Energy efficiency in the community and to friends etc through testimonies, talks, and social media.

  8. Installation of Energy-Saving Devices or Technologies: Installation of energy-saving devices helps to save energy and money.

FORCE is an energy-saving device that can be installed in all facilities using electricity to save energy by increasing conductivity and reducing the loss of electricity. It also contributes to slashing electricity utility bills and reducing greenhouse gasses produced by electricity generation. FORCE is proven to be a reliable avenue for energy saving and energy efficiency.
