High Gas Prices: A growing threat

This also led to a decline in drilling in the U.S. as the oil rig count fell by 70% in the summer of 2020.

The reason for the surge in gas price is the alteration in demand and supply. The cost of the gas can be felt with a steep rise in the prices of goods and services.
